Jon Jones Ready For UFC Holdout For To Last Two To Three Years

Jonathan Dwight Jones or Jon Jones as he is commonly known as is a mixed martial artist who is currently signed with the UFC, Jon is considered by many as one of the greatest ever mixed martial artists.

Jones has been an active MMA performer since 2008 and has a fantastic record, he has been UFC Light Heavyweight champion multiple times and has been ranked No1 in the UFC men’s pound for pound rankings.

Jon Jones more commonly known as “Bones” by his fans has been in the news for the last couple of weeks, Jones had previously brought up the issue of unfair payment to the fighters, Jones believes that he and the other fighters do not get paid the amount of money they deserve.

Since claiming that the UFC does not pay the fighters what they deserve, Jones has been at loggerhead with the UFC especially with UFC President Dana White, Jones has said that he is ready to sit out and not compete in the UFC for two to three years if that means the UFC will take him seriously.

Jones was quoted saying” I do not want to fight soon,” said Jonathan. “ I have no interest in fighting in the UFC until I get paid what I believe I am worth,” he said.

Jones has claimed that his stand will not only benefit himself but is for the betterment of many up and coming fighters who put their bodies on their line and should deserve just payment for the same.

Jones said” If I have to have a bad relationship with Dana, sit out for two years, three years, to bring light to what’s happening, then these are the things people remember you for more than winning belts. I stood for the younger fighters.”

Jones is ready and knows that if he continues his stand against the UFC, he would be at loggerhead with the UFC President Dana White and that would mean that he doesn’t get the chance to compete in the UFC.

Jones is ready to sit out and not fight in the ring, but will continue his fight outside the ring which he claims is necessary and will help the newer fighters entering the business.

On the other hand UFC President Dana White has taken a softer stand in the subject, he has not called out Jon Jones on anything, but has rather taken a more neutral approach.

“ Jon Jones and I do not agree on something right now. We’re having a disagreement, but Jon Jones is a partner in this business,” said Dana.

What Dana White said doesn’t seem to have worked on Jones as he is still not ready to get back and compete in the Octagon, till UFC decides to look into the matter and come up with a solution.

There have been various occasions in Sports, entertainment and various other industries where unfair payment to the entertainers has been an issue, this latest stand was taken by UFC fighter Jon Jones is one such event.

As of now, it seems that fans of Jon Jones would have to wait a long time before they see their favorite fighter in Octagon, for ow they will just have to wait and watch his fight outside the Octagon against the UFC
